Another beautiful morning on the Riviera Maya! I didn't want to wake Dan, so I'm out on the pool deck (our private one) enjoying my coffee and croissant, listening to the birds, and observing an iguana. It's hard to believe that just a few yards through this jungle sits the most pristine, beautiful white sand beach! Thank goodness we accepted the airport to resort transfer offered by Esencia! We never would have found it ourselves - this is a secluded paradise! Today, there's just us and 5 other couples at this Small Luxury Hotels property. Today Dan's going to sit on the beach and read .... I'm joining the complimentary Tai Chi class on the beach in about a half hour, and then I'm going off to the spa for a "Green Exfoliation" (for purification) and then a "Sun Ritual" massage.... Maybe tomorrow we'll go take a look at the ruins at Tulum, but it will be hard to leave our little paradise here at Esencia!

Dramatic Alaska. When a monumental chunk of ice splits off a glacier and crashes into the sea it sounds like an ear-splitting clap of thunder.
